One major undertaking we see on the horizon is to overhaul our existing component library and rendering engine. The component library (https://fds.playground.fontoxml.com/) is developed on top of React while the document rendering engine is written from scratch for performance reasons. The JavaScript code is relatively up to date but the HTML/CSS is out of date, to be fair. Are you the professional that helps us reimage and reimplement all of that? Can you help us develop a modern html+css framework and are you familiar with the latest front-end development technologies? Come join us! You won’t be working alone, we have ~40 passionate professionals and we work in well-organized, multidisciplinary teams. You’ll start in one (out of 5) of the product development teams, this team responsible for user-facing features in our editor product. This team includes our UX lead, one of our most-experienced JavaScript engineers and 2 medior developers with some front-end experience. You’ll probably start with somewhat smaller improvements to the component library to ease you into the large codebase and a complex product before we start the overhaul.

Qualifications You Need

( You do not need experience in all of what stated below. We are primarily looking for someone who has a passion for frontend development and enjoys creating amazing "Product Focused" user experience ) 

• Be a wizard at HTML5 and CSS3.

• Prioritize UX while not sacrificing performance when building features.

• Experience building & maintaining design systems is a plus.

• Good experience with ES6, preferably React.

• Experience with Node.js and related build tooling (Webpack/Rollup) is a plus.

• Work with design and engineering team members to build features from concept through implementation.

• You know your way around Git.

• You’re fluent in English.
